Datto’s Disaster Response Team teamed with Richmond, Texas MSP Frontline Computer Services after Hurricane Harvey — a category 4 storm that dropped more than 50 inches of rain, displaced thousands, and knocked out local infrastructure. Frontline had preemptively backed up client data, but one client, Corporate Assets, suffered office flooding and lost a workstation and network access, leaving staff unable to reach their backups or continue critical business operations.
Datto’s DRT provided a Datto Networking Appliance (DNA) to deliver 4G LTE Internet while Frontline relocated the team and restored access to backups, getting the client back online immediately instead of waiting weeks for ISP service. The same approach was used to reconnect other local insurance agencies so they could submit claims, showing the DRT’s ability to rapidly restore connectivity and keep businesses operating during disasters.
