A DATPROF Case Study
The leading government agency faced a challenge with the high degree of complexity and numerous interdependencies within their databases, which made it difficult to produce consistent test data. This complexity forced them to use full copies of production data, creating issues with protecting personal information and resulting in overly large test environments. They engaged DATPROF to address these test data consistency issues.
DATPROF implemented a solution to anonymize and subset the agency's DB2 database, starting with a central application schema. The realization of the anonymization and subsetting templates allowed the agency to quickly generate anonymous subsets of data on demand. The primary benefit was the faster and easier availability of test sets, which took approximately 6 to 12 months to fully implement. This made provisioning more successful and enabled better and faster testing for the agency.
