Public College Modernizes Online Application Process with Azure

Largest Public College in Canada, serving nearly 100,000 students and offering 100+ programs, faced an outdated international student application platform with no front end and a PeopleSoft ERP back end. To modernize the applicant experience and improve enrollment throughput, the college engaged DatAvail to refresh the technology stack and build a user-friendly, cloud-based application system on Microsoft Azure.

DatAvail implemented a microservices architecture on Azure using Angular, Node.js, Azure AD B2C, API Management, Blob Storage, Functions, Application Insights and DevOps, and delivered three portals (administrator, agents, and an SSO-enabled International Web Application). As a result, the college now provides real-time status visibility, faster turnaround and offer delivery, a streamlined end-to-end admissions pipeline, and the ability to handle and send offers to more international students more quickly — improving operational efficiency and helping increase yield rates.
