Locomotive Manufacturing Company, a global supplier to the rail, mining, and marine industries with 10,000+ employees and 65+ service sites, was spending a tedious week each quarter documenting metadata, security, and report changes and lacked visibility into who was viewing financial and interactive reports. They also had no alerting to detect service outages. DatAvail was engaged to address these challenges, working alongside the customer’s Oracle Hyperion stack (HFM, Essbase, FDM, SmartView, Financial & Interactive Reporting) using its Application Performance Management (APM) solution.

DatAvail installed its APM platform and configured an Audit Change Report to capture character-level change histories, provided report-viewing analytics to the BI team to tailor applications, and set up real-time alerts so responsible parties can restart services before users are impacted.
