Large Energy Infrastructure Company, a Fortune 500 energy firm operating across natural gas processing, petroleum extraction, and electricity generation, faced compatibility, support, security, and regulatory-compliance risks because key components in its IT stack (notably Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and older Internet Explorer) were no longer supported with its Oracle Hyperion 11.1.2.3 environment. To address these issues, the customer engaged DatAvail to modernize their Hyperion deployment.

DatAvail executed a phased upgrade to Oracle Hyperion 11.1.2.4—moving from RFP in January 2016 to a signed SOW in August 2016, a six-month migration starting September 2016, and a successful go‑live in February 2017. The DatAvail-led upgrade restored compatibility with current SQL Server and Internet Explorer versions, reinstated Oracle and Microsoft support, delivered the latest bug fixes and features, and materially reduced the client’s exposure to unsupported-software risks.
