Helping Promote Child Welfare Issues and Influence Public Opinion

The Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies (OACAS), a membership organization representing Children’s Aid Societies in Ontario, needed a modern web presence to better advocate, collaborate and communicate for the protection and well‑being of children. With limited resources, OACAS required a solution that supported document management, multiple contributors and secure portal access so volunteers, government bodies, foster parents, event organizers and helplines could be kept current and engaged — and engaged DatAvail to help deliver it.

DatAvail built a revamped, accessible and user‑friendly website featuring secure portal access for member agencies, embedded social media and tools for quick content contribution and sharing across OACAS’s three communities. The new site made information easier for the public to find, reduced the number of calls from member agencies and improved internal search and collaboration, strengthening OACAS’s ability to advocate and influence public opinion.
