Healthcare Data Nonprofit Improves Data Management with AWS

Leading Independent Nonprofit Healthcare Organization engaged DatAvail to improve its data management and user experience by migrating analytics workloads to AWS. The customer had already chosen Amazon S3 for analytics and wanted to modernize storage and processing of its on‑premises Oracle data (technologies involved included Oracle Database, Amazon S3, Apache Parquet, Hadoop, and Amazon Elasticsearch).

DatAvail ran five two‑week sprints to strengthen ingestion, transformation, refresh and security: replicating the Oracle database to Amazon S3, converting replicated data to Apache Parquet for Hadoop processing, improving ETL workflows, and enabling Amazon Elasticsearch/Kibana. As a result, DatAvail helped the customer search 63 million rows in seconds, cut full database loads from multiple hours to minutes, and add self‑service CSV drag‑and‑drop ingestion.
