Global Sports Entertainment Organization, which operates more than 50 venues across the U.S. and internationally, needed DatAvail to consolidate venue-level data for centralized reporting. The customer faced challenges with an older MySQL deployment at each site, feeding timely data from 50+ locations into a single reporting location, and required the implementation in the AWS cloud.

DatAvail’s MySQL team implemented multi-source replication (MySQL 5.7/8.0) on an AWS EC2 instance (choosing EC2 over RDS/Aurora), using replication channels, filters and SSL to securely stream data from all sites. As a result, the customer can run on-demand reports with much faster response times by querying a single server, eliminating consolidation delays and centralizing feeds from 50+ locations.
