BITeamwork, an S&P 500 enterprise retail real estate company, engaged Datavail to support a company‑wide budgeting process and tackle collaboration and user‑adoption problems across their Oracle OBIEE and Hyperion (Hyperion Planning/Essbase) environment. Challenges included an unbalanced OBIEE hierarchy sourced from Hyperion, an unsustainable offline commenting workflow, and legacy Essbase cube limitations that impeded dashboarding and nightly data loads.

Datavail fixed the OBIEE hierarchy, replaced the offline comment process by implementing BITeamwork™ annotations within OBIEE, redesigned complex data loads, and added a custom GL flag to align relational hierarchies—streamlining a single ASO Reporting Cube and common LOVs. As a result Datavail enabled aggregated and summarized reporting, in‑dashboard commenting and collaboration, PowerPoint export for MBR/QBR, simplified dashboard architecture, month‑end/quarter‑close justification workflows, and increased Hyperion and OBIEE user adoption.
