Ing. Büro Roth GmbH (Ingroth), a German engineering company specializing in industrial automation, faced a challenge in efficiently inspecting beer kegs for damaged handles at breweries. Their traditional mechanical process was cumbersome and in need of modernization. To address this, they partnered with vendor Datature to leverage its comprehensive MLOps platform, Nexus.

Using the Datature Nexus platform, Ingroth built, trained, and deployed an AI model for defect detection. The solution was deployed on a Siemens Industrial Edge device, achieving a 98.8% accuracy rate in identifying damaged keg handles. This partnership with Datature not only automated a critical inspection task but also established a streamlined pipeline for future AI applications, enhancing operational efficiency on the production line.
