LunchSkins - Customer Case Study

LunchSkins, a woman-owned retail/grocery brand known for reusable, plastic-free food storage, faced rapidly rising order volumes and a costly, error-prone EDI setup that relied on manual data entry and an unsatisfactory provider (SPS Commerce). Seeking a scalable, affordable solution that would connect to major retailers and integrate with their accounting system, LunchSkins engaged DataTrans Solutions and adopted DataTrans’ WebEDI and QuickBooks integration services.

DataTrans Solutions implemented its cloud-based WebEDI portal, provided UCC-128 labels and packing documents at no extra charge, and migrated LunchSkins from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online integration—streamlining order-to-invoice workflows, eliminating multiple logins, and reducing monthly EDI costs. The result was faster, more reliable order processing, seamless connections to trading partners (Amazon, Target, Whole Foods, etc.), and ongoing support that allowed LunchSkins to scale fulfillment while lowering operational overhead.
