Locstat, a Cape Town–based IoT analytics company, delivers graph-powered complex event processing and predictive analytics by connecting and orchestrating multiple sensor sources across industries. Facing a need to cut analysis time from two–three weeks to minutes and to support millions of sensor transactions daily, Locstat required a cloud-ready, highly scalable database and analytics platform.

Locstat adopted DataStax Enterprise (DSE) with DSE Graph and DSE Analytics to build a real-time geospatial rules engine and dashboards that ingest, image, and analyze streaming sensor data at scale. The solution enabled real-time risk management and predictive maintenance—powering maritime early-warning zones, aircraft and drone surveillance, fraud detection, and other use cases—processing tens of millions of transactions per day with zero downtime and measurable client outcomes (for example, up to a 68% reduction in copper-theft for one customer).
