A DataStax Case Study
IDAspis is a Hannover-based security and intelligence startup that collects and analyzes data from across the Internet to help organizations defend their assets. The company initially relied on MySQL/Postgres but ran into slow query response times and availability problems as data volumes and near-real-time query needs grew, and needed a way to store sensor data indefinitely.
IDAspis moved to DataStax Enterprise (production-certified Cassandra) for a high-availability, low-latency primary datastore, and uses DSE security features and OpsCenter for management and permissions; they are also adopting DSE Search for some real-time workloads. The switch delivered consistent, near-constant query performance, easier cluster management and stronger security, enabling the firm to scale storage and queries while maintaining continuous availability.
