Accor Delivers Real-Time Booking Service with DSE

Accor, a global hospitality group operating thousands of hotels, faced a surge in booking demand while relying on an aging, pre-calculated reservation system that couldn’t provide real-time availability or scale efficiently. To modernize, Accor launched the IRMA project using a CQRS model to consolidate inputs from hotels, partners, and customers—but needed a robust data platform to stabilize, synchronize, and deliver fast access to distributed data.

Accor implemented DataStax Enterprise (built on Apache Cassandra) as the single data source for availability searches and rules processing. The deployment enabled real-time hotel availability across all channels, significantly improved response times, centralized pricing (including loyalty member rates), provided daily cluster monitoring, and delivered virtually unlimited scalability.
