The customer, Canaccord Genuity, a financial services firm, faced challenges in managing its due diligence process, including providing real-time updates on information request lists (IRLs), easily locating specific files, and controlling document access. To overcome these hurdles, the firm turned to vendor Datasite and its product, Datasite Diligence.

Datasite implemented its Trackers feature, which provided a real-time platform for managing IRLs, eliminating the need for slow, back-and-forth document exchanges. The solution allowed users to link files directly to requests for easy access and set granular permissions to ensure document confidentiality. According to an associate, this resulted in a significant time savings of approximately one third, enabling the team to get things done faster and ensuring all parties were on the same page.
