Wente Family Estates, the country’s oldest continuously operated family-owned winery, was growing rapidly (30%+ annual growth) and needed to control costs while scaling nationwide distribution. To modernize decentralized, manual Accounts Payable and avoid adding staff, Wente engaged DataServ and implemented DataServ’s SaaS Purchase to Pay (P2P) solution, including AutoVouch and Management Reporting.

DataServ deployed a digital mailroom with SaaS OCR invoice capture, automated workflows, AutoVouch 2- and 3-way matching, retention/storage and AMS integration, plus training and a Rapid Adoption Kit. The centralized P2P platform from DataServ consolidated AP processing, lowered document processing costs, improved visibility, controls and auditability, sped invoice-to-payment cycles and positively impacted staffing levels; DataServ’s program also supported Wente’s environmental goals (DataServ recycled over 176,000 pounds of paper last year).
