Hormel Foods, a Fortune 500 global branded food company, had already automated parts of accounts payable but wasn’t getting the results it needed. After trying Oracle Cloud’s native workflow during its ERP transition, the company found the routing, escalations, and user experience less effective than its prior setup with DataServ’s invoice processing and workflow tools, especially for both PO and non-PO invoices.

DataServ re-initialized the workflow for Hormel’s non-PO invoices and continued providing invoice data capture, the Invoice Processing Machine (IPM), and AutoVouch™ automated 3-way match, putting 100% of AP invoices through its solution. The results included 99.9% data capture accuracy, 81% straight-through PO invoice success, average indexing-to-completion time of 3–4 days, and a 50% reduction in AP FTEs after AutoVouch™—followed by another 50% reduction in 2025—saving Hormel well over $1 million annually.
