World’s Largest Car-Sharing Marketplace Maximizes Guest, Host Experience with AI

Turo, the world’s largest peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace connecting over 1.3 million guests and 85,000 hosts across the US, Canada, and the UK, needed to optimize pricing, underwriting risk, and marketing with better data insights. To meet those challenges Turo turned to DataRobot, deploying its AI Foundation and Predictive AI capabilities to standardize modeling and scale decisioning across the business.

DataRobot built automated pricing recommendations, ML-based underwriting and live fraud detection models, and lifetime-value predictions for marketing budgets, enabling Turo to get roughly 80% of prior model performance with just 10% of the effort (about 90% less work) while lowering behavioral risk and fraud costs.
