DemystData, a New York–based data platform that helps financial institutions discover and use alternative data, was struggling as datasets and sources multiplied: its small team faced time‑consuming, manual modeling work that limited the company’s ability to surface predictive signals. To tackle that challenge, DemystData adopted DataRobot’s automated machine learning platform.

DataRobot automated the heavy lifting of model building—iterating hundreds of algorithm‑agnostic models in minutes—and enabled an inductive, data‑first approach that improved model quality and democratized data science across DemystData. The result: dramatically faster experimentation, broader participation from non‑technical staff, and much higher productivity—replacing a slow, resource‑intensive process (previously 2–3 data scientists working at about one‑tenth the efficiency and roughly 10× the cost) with a leaner, more effective workflow powered by DataRobot.
