Australian Schools Boost Student Success, Reduce Attrition by 13% – with AI

Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) needed to mine its student and operational data to boost achievement and cut attrition but lacked in-house data science capacity. CEDP turned to DataRobot, deploying DataRobot AI Cloud and AutoML to automate predictive analytics across its network of 80 schools.

DataRobot AI Cloud allowed CEDP’s small analytics team to build, explain, and monitor models without dedicated data scientists, predicting student success at about 94% accuracy and reducing attrition by roughly 13%—retaining more than 100 students annually and about $1.2 million in revenue across 80 schools and 43,000 students. The DataRobot solution integrated with existing data sources, increased educator adoption, and enabled earlier interventions to improve student outcomes.
