SAIC manages vendor and supplier contract processes for U.S. military bases. Its older method for notifying vendors about contract opportunities and handling bid responses depended on fax and expensive call center workflows, and it was vulnerable to manual data entry errors. To reduce costs and improve efficiency, SAIC needed a secure electronic forms process that could fit into its bid call and submission workflow.

SAIC selected DataMotion SecureForms to integrate with its bid call creation system. Requests for bids are now sent to vendors through encrypted forms, and SAIC can see which vendors received and opened each request. When vendors complete the form, replies return through a secure encrypted channel and the data is automatically entered into SAIC’s back end system, reducing follow-up calls and eliminating the need to re-key faxed forms.
