A Datamatics Case Study
Leading Insurance Provider, a major Indian insurer offering retail and corporate products across 122 branches, needed to automate end-to-end insurance policy document creation. The manual process was error-prone and overwhelmed by nightly volumes from multiple channel partners (raw data for 40 products arriving after 6:30 PM) that had to be validated, standardized and uploaded before a batch run. Datamatics was engaged to address this challenge using Robotic Process Automation, notably its TruBot platform, and AI-driven data interpretation.
Datamatics implemented a modular RPA solution with TruBot and AI algorithms to normalize multi-source data, apply complex business rules, generate payment IDs via web API, handle exceptions and upload standardized files to the client’s GC system in batches of 10 products. The Datamatics solution cut per-case processing from 16–20 minutes to 2–3 minutes, shortened batch processing from about 6 hours to 1 hour, raised accuracy from 70% to 90%, improved overall productivity by 87.5% and reduced effort from 7 FTEs to 1 FTE, while ensuring timely delivery of policy documents.
