UN Cares engaged Datamatics to address a critical monitoring challenge for the UN Cares workplace programme and the UN Learning Strategy on HIV/AIDS: tracking progress against the programme’s 10 Minimum Standards across all UN system offices. The customer needed a uniform, system-wide monitoring solution to compile inter-agency data at national, regional and global levels, ensure accountability for results, and support reporting back to donors.

Datamatics delivered a single web-based online monitoring tool that consolidated survey data, mapped all survey questions to the 10 Minimum Standards, and produced reports for regional and global coordinators. The Datamatics solution provided a global perspective on programme implementation, enabled centralized progress tracking and donor-ready reporting, offered worldwide access via a web interface, and was developed at low cost using open-source technology.
