The Leading Multilateral International Organization engaged Datamatics to manage and redesign its Controllers’ Content Management (CCM) portal. CCM supports a three‑stage authoring/dissemination workflow (authoring, workflow, dissemination) but was split across a Java-based dissemination site and SharePoint-based authoring/workflow, creating maintenance complexity, licensing limitations, and a need for richer, easier-to-navigate functionality.

Datamatics recommended consolidating the Java site onto a SharePoint-based portal and — due to licensing constraints — implemented the solution on Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) with custom web parts and .NET code, adding a Web 2.0 UI, news/events, popular/recent documents, blogs, tagging/comments/ratings, PDF downloads, search and alerts. As a result, Datamatics delivered technology consolidation (fewer servers), a single technology stack that reduced required maintenance skills, and a richer, more navigable CCM portal with improved content discovery and recommendation features.
