Government Agency, a public works department responsible for infrastructure, facilities and utilities, faced rapidly growing volumes of receipts, invoices and employee/vendor claims that relied on manual, paper-based accounting and claim processes. To replace this inefficient workflow the agency engaged Datamatics to deliver an electronic document management system (EDMS), implemented using the IBM FileNet suite.

Datamatics implemented a web-based, paperless EDMS with centralized storage, scanning/barcoding, indexed intake, IBM FileNet repository, automated workflows and e-forms to integrate with legacy systems. As a result, Datamatics’ solution automated claim and vendor invoice processing, eliminated most paperwork, centralized retrieval, reduced response time and improved accuracy and overall process efficiency.
