UTI Mutual Fund, one of India’s largest mutual fund companies with more than 11 million live folios and a footprint across 160 locations, faced operational risks from paper-based processes including lost documents in transit, payment errors, rising storage costs, and slow approvals. To address this digital transformation need, UTI Mutual Fund partnered with Datamatics to create a paperless office using Datamatics’ digital workplace solution built on OpenText.

Datamatics implemented the solution in three months to digitize document management, decision & approval workflows, and payment processing, integrating payments with the ERP and securing data with encryption. The Datamatics deployment digitized over 20,000 transactions, improved document retrieval and real-time tracking, reduced turnaround times, increased transparency and faster decision-making, and delivered significant cost and carbon footprint savings.
