The Paris-Based International Organisation relied on legacy policy simulators built in Visual Basic and .NET to support data-driven policy analysis, but the tools had become rigid, costly to maintain, and too limited for modern speed, flexibility, and user experience needs. The organization wanted to modernize these simulators into more intelligent, interactive tools with customizable UI/UX and automated BI reporting, and partnered with Datamatics to do it.

Datamatics redesigned and developed a next-generation Policy Simulator using R and R-Shiny, creating a web-like application with real-time scenario modeling, predictive analytics, and interactive “what-if” analysis. The solution improved efficiency by automating processes and reduced development costs for other policy simulators by 85%, while enabling faster, smarter decision-making.
