The Australian Financial Modelling Company, a consulting firm that builds enterprise-wide cost, performance and predictive models, needed to modernize authentication across its suite of web-based financial modelling apps. Facing a legacy, non-cloud-compatible application that could not integrate with Azure AD and required all authentication to be handled by external providers (including F‑SSO/SAML), the company engaged Datamatics to redesign its user management, information sharing and authentication mechanisms.

Datamatics built a new C#/.NET Core application hosted on Azure App Services with Azure SQL, a PowerBI-like UI, multi-tenancy and role-based access, and implemented Azure AD, Office 365, SAML 2.0 and Microsoft Graph–based authentication and tenancy management so only external authenticators are used.
