North Wales Police needed to rationalise a legacy IT estate holding crime, intelligence, custody, and child protection data and consolidate it into a single operational system, Niche Records Management System (RMS). Datalynx was engaged to assess the existing systems, understand retention and data quality issues, and plan the migration of key legacy databases including PCS2000 Custody, ABM Crime, and ICRIS Intelligence.
Datalynx delivered the full data migration lifecycle on-site, from audit and strategy through to mapping, cleansing, extraction, transformation, load, and testing. Using LynxETL and Blue8 Gazetteer, Datalynx migrated and de-duplicated data including 1.6 million addresses, helping North Wales Police clean up and consolidate information into their existing Niche RMS with reduced duplication and improved data quality.
