Wildkamp nearly doubles service efficiency with Datalogic Memor mobile computers

Wildkamp, a specialty retailer of pipes and related products, faced a challenge in managing its vast inventory of 50,000 articles across many branches. With no automated stock system, employees spent excessive time manually processing items, especially un-barcoded small parts, hindering customer service. To automate operations and improve efficiency, Wildkamp turned to vendor Datalogic and its partner CaptureTech for a solution involving the Memor mobile computer.

Datalogic's solution deployed 120 Memor mobile computers for picking operations, integrated with software from CaptureTech. This allowed employees and regular customers to quickly scan items, with data sent to the checkout to finalize transactions. The implementation nearly doubled time efficiency, freeing staff to dedicate more time to customer service. Wildkamp was so pleased with the results from Datalogic that it plans to expand the use of the Memor system to other areas like stock inventory.
