Van Tilburg Mode & Sport streamlines online order picking with Datalogic, backing 12% of turnover

Van Tilburg Mode & Sport, the largest independent fashion store in the Netherlands, faced inefficiencies in processing its growing volume of online orders. Their manual, paper-based picking process in a live store environment provided little real-time stock visibility and order status tracking. To modernize this as part of a broader ERP replacement, they partnered with vendor Datalogic, utilizing Datalogic Memor handheld computers as part of a tailored scanning solution.

The solution, implemented with software partners, integrated Datalogic's handheld devices with a new ERP system. These scanners displayed item images and guided pickers via efficient routes, working reliably with 4G even offline. This digitized the entire pick and pack process for Van Tilburg. While full quantitative results were pending, Datalogic's solution immediately increased efficiency, significantly reduced picking time, and was expected to lower error and return rates, improving customer service.
