Van Oort Transport, a large-scale carrier in the Netherlands, faced the challenge of needing an efficient transport and warehouse management system for its subsidiary, TS Meubeltransport. Datalogic, working with its partner Mobile Creations, implemented a solution using the ELF PDA. This device, utilizing UMTS/3G data technology instead of WiFi, provided a cost-effective way to scan and track all incoming and outgoing goods in their large warehouse. The solution from Datalogic saved TS Meubeltransport a significant amount of time and money, and its performance was so impressive that the company plans to equip its drivers with the ELF PDA to further improve customer service.
