TNT always deliver on time thanks to Datalogic

TNT Express, a market-leading express delivery company, faced a challenge at its parcel distribution centers. The manual keying of delivery depot codes was time-consuming and prone to error, threatening their critical on-time delivery performance. To automate this process, TNT selected Datalogic after a competitive testing process to implement an automated encoding system at its new Kingsbury Hub.

Datalogic's solution involved installing eight reading stations, each equipped with six DS8100 omni-directional scanners and an SC8000 system controller. This provided an extremely high read rate, allowing parcels to be sorted automatically based on scanned barcodes. The success of the installation was credited to the close partnership between Datalogic and TNT, ensuring the system maintained TNT's high standards for quality and reliability in its delivery service.
