The Gryphon Imager Ensures Excellent Tracking at Antonius Hospital in the Netherlands

Antonius Hospital Sneek in the Netherlands needed a more reliable way to manage two critical workflows: instrument sterilization tracking and medication administration. Previously, both processes were handled manually on paper, which increased the risk of errors and slowed operations. The hospital turned to Datalogic’s Gryphon healthcare imagers, recommended by its hospital information system supplier ChipSoft, to support automation.

Datalogic implemented Gryphon GM4400-HC, GD4100-HC, and GM4100-HC imagers to scan bar codes throughout sterilization and medication workflows, updating records in real time with the ChipSoft system. The solution improved traceability of instruments, ensured accurate medication checks, and reduced no-reads and processing time thanks to Green Spot technology. Antonius Hospital reported significantly increased safety, fewer errors, and more efficient, reliable tracking across its care processes.
