Gabrielli S.p.A., part of the Gabrielli Group in Italy’s steel processing and manufacturing sector, wanted to optimize production, improve product quality, and better manage warehouse operations as it opened a new facility. To support these goals, the company worked with Datalogic and adopted the Falcon™ X3 mobile computer for warehouse management and coil tracking.

Datalogic’s Falcon X3 was implemented to handle material receiving, picking, tracking, and shipping with real-time Wi-Fi updates, barcode scanning, and clear read confirmation in harsh industrial environments. The solution significantly improved handling efficiency: the same four warehouse operators who previously managed 25,000 tons of steel now handle nearly twice that amount, while Gabrielli also improved tracking, quality assurance, and production/logistics cost control.
