A Datalogic Case Study

Preview of the Sony DADC Case Study

Sony UK makes music with the Memor™

Sony DADC, a worldwide technology provider for the entertainment industry, required a new order picking system at its UK warehouse to ensure accuracy and replace its outdated text-based solution. They partnered with vendor Datalogic and their partner Barcode-IT to implement a cutting-edge mobile computing solution for their staff.

The solution from Datalogic involved deploying 63 Memor™ mobile WiFi terminals for order picking and 9 industrial computers for forklifts. These devices, managed centrally by Wavelink Avalanche, were integrated with Sony's new web-based warehouse management system. This Datalogic solution provided a secure wireless environment, allowing products to be picked more easily and quickly, significantly improving the warehouse operation.
