Sony DADC streamlines warehouse picking with 63 Datalogic Memor terminals

Sony DADC, a worldwide solution and technology provider for the entertainment industry, needed to ensure accurate order picking at its UK warehouse. To interface with a new web-based management system, they required a robust mobile computing solution. They turned to vendor Datalogic and their partner Barcode-IT to find the right technology for this challenge.

The solution implemented by Datalogic consisted of 63 Memor™ mobile WiFi terminals for order picking and 9 industrial forklift-mounted computers for replenishment. These devices, integrated with Sony's system and managed centrally by Wavelink Avalanche software, replaced an outdated text-based solution. This provided Sony DADC with a faster, more efficient picking process and a secure, manageable wireless environment.
