Rigorous fruit traceability at Agrocanillas

Agrocanillas S.L., a Spanish fruit producer, needed a highly reliable and automated traceability system to track its products from bulk deposit through to packaging, as required by new laws. To meet this challenge and avoid breaks in its production process, Agrocanillas turned to vendor Datalogic and its accredited reseller, Captura de Datos, for a data capture solution.

Datalogic implemented a solution using its Matrix and DS2100A fixed scanners, Gryphon mobile hand-held readers, and STARGATE RF base stations. This system automated the reading of barcodes on all containers, from incoming pallets to individual packages, providing real-time data to the central IT system. As a result, Agrocanillas achieved a wholly automated tracking system, gaining total visibility and control over its entire production process and the state of its fruit at any moment.
