ReserviX and the Lynx PDA from Datalogic Give Fans Access to Their Favorite Live Events

ReserviX, a German leader in ticketing for entertainment and live events, needed a better way to combat ticket fraud and speed up access control at venues. Its older handheld laser scanners worked offline, could not sync data in real time, and were unable to read the growing number of 2D bar codes and smartphone-based tickets. Datalogic’s Lynx PDA was chosen to meet these requirements.

With Datalogic’s Lynx PDA, ReserviX implemented a wireless, real-time validation system that synchronizes ticket data across devices and reads both 1D and 2D codes from paper tickets or smartphone screens. The mobile computers improved access control with fast, reliable ticket checks, easy-to-use ergonomics, battery alerts, and a “Green Spot” good-read indicator to help move lines faster. ReserviX now supports more than 100,000 events and 15 million tickets annually, with short queue times and stronger protection against counterfeit tickets.
