Mr. Wash Cleans Up With Datalogic Scanners and Mobile Computers

Mr. Wash, a German car wash center with 32 locations, needed to modernize its outdated paper-based process for tracking services and inventory across its high-volume operations. The challenge was to improve efficiency, organize its workforce, and accurately manage resources for thousands of vehicles daily. Datalogic, with its partner Aisci Ident, provided a solution using their Memor mobile computers and PowerScan handheld barcode readers.

The implemented solution used Datalogic's Memor to generate receipts with barcodes for purchased services, which were then scanned at various stations by PowerScan readers to direct employees. This automated data capture streamlined the entire service process, transmitting information in real-time via the STAR Cordless System. The results for Datalogic's customer included significantly improved efficiency, easier employee training, and robust data for planning and inventory control. Mr. Wash now uses approximately 80 Memor computers and 120 PowerScan readers across all locations to maintain its high-quality, fast service standards.
