Molton Brown Improves Stock Accuracy With Datalogic Memor

Molton Brown, the luxury fragrance and toiletries retailer, needed a more accurate and timely way to manage stock across 58 stores in the UK, Ireland and the USA, plus department store concessions. Its annual third-party stock takes were not accurate enough and left the business with poor visibility of inventory levels for long periods. Datalogic’s Memor X3 mobile computers were selected, working with Mobile Data Collection’s bespoke stock-taking software.

Datalogic and Mobile Data Collection implemented 143 terminals and 72 cradles for Molton Brown’s first quarterly stock take, giving store teams a durable and easy-to-use scanning solution with Green Spot read confirmation to reduce errors. The rollout was well received, improved stock-taking accuracy and visibility, and supported future expansion into returns processing via a POS upgrade.
