A Datalogic Case Study
Busslink, a Swedish public transportation provider, needed a more accurate and controlled way to manage spare parts across its twelve service stations. The company worked with Datalogic and its partner CUB Systems to evaluate a rugged mobile computer solution, ultimately selecting the Datalogic Memor™ for use in picking and spare parts tracking.
Datalogic implemented a mobile workflow where technicians search parts by location, scan barcodes when items are picked, and sync data through Ethernet cradles to update stock levels and cost centers in the host system. The solution replaced error-prone manual paper logging, improving inventory accuracy and making parts easier to find; Busslink also planned to roll the system out to the remaining stations and extend it to inventory and time-stamping functions.
