STCR helped KeyFood, a 16-store grocery group in the New York/Metro area, address the challenges of direct store delivery (DSD) in a fast-moving retail environment. With frequent deliveries, negotiated supplier deals, and the need to get products priced and on the floor quickly, KeyFood needed a reliable way to check in deliveries accurately and reduce costly errors.

To meet this need, STCR implemented the LOC Software DSD application on Datalogic Falcon X3+ mobile computers, along with mobile printers, to give receiving staff real-time access to delivery and pricing information over a secure wireless network. The rugged, high-availability solution helped KeyFood verify invoices, apply price changes, print shelf labels quickly, and improve bottom-line profits; Datalogic’s devices also provided the durability needed for loading dock conditions.
