Kerakoll, a world-leading group in the building chemicals sector, faced a challenge in automating its warehouse picking operations to expedite the process and reduce errors for its 200 daily shipments. The manual system was slow and prone to mistakes. Kerakoll contacted Datalogic's partner, Uni Sistemi, for a solution that would utilize Datalogic's industrial automation products.

The solution implemented by Datalogic centered on the Rhino™ mobile terminal and fixed DS6400 scanners installed on forklift trucks. These products automatically scanned barcodes to guide operators and update the system, working reliably in extreme dust, temperature, and lighting conditions both indoors and outdoors. This automation provided by Datalogic significantly reduced the error rate, expedited the loading process, and improved customer service for Kerakoll, which now operates over 100 Datalogic products across two sites.
