Gibson Technology Chooses Datalogic to Drive Traceability

Gibson Technology, a world-leading motorsport engine manufacturer, needed a faster and more reliable way to mark thousands of engine parts for full traceability across materials like carbon fiber, titanium, steel, aluminum, and plastic. Their previous dot peen process was slow, hard to use, and not suitable for the range of parts they produce, so they turned to Datalogic and its Ulyxe laser marking system.

Working with Laser Lines, Datalogic supplied and demonstrated the Ulyxe laser marker, along with a suitable workstation and operator training, so Gibson Technology could quickly and safely mark both small and large components. The new solution delivered faster, more consistent, and more accurate part marking, reducing process time from the shop floor through inspection and assembly while improving traceability across Gibson Technology’s engines.
