Galbusera ensures traceability across 5 product lines with Datalogic

Galbusera, a long-standing Italian biscuit producer, required a robust track and trace system to comply with new EC regulations and guarantee the highest security and quality of its products. To achieve this, the company partnered with vendor Datalogic to implement an integrated solution for total production and distribution tracking.

Datalogic implemented a system using its hardware, including Viper mobile computers, F725-E/RF mobile computers with a STAR-System narrow band radio solution, and DS4600 fixed position scanners. This solution interfaced with Galbusera's existing IT system, enabling real-time data collection at every stage from goods-receiving to shipping. The results provided Galbusera with complete traceability, allowing them to quickly identify and resolve any issues, optimize the use of perishable goods to reduce waste, and ultimately assure customers of their product's safety and wholesomeness.
