FM Logistic, a logistics provider in Romania, faced challenges with outdated, difficult-to-use DOS-based mobile terminals in their warehouses. They needed modern mobile computers with Windows CE/Mobile, a graphical interface, and powerful wireless connectivity to improve operations. They turned to vendor Datalogic for a solution using their Falcon™ mobile computers.

Datalogic implemented their Falcon™ devices, which offered the required Windows platform, a color touchscreen, and 802.11g wireless. The solution, supported by a comprehensive service package, delivered significant measurable improvements. Results included a 40.25% improvement in standard times with portable printers, an 11.78% productivity increase in online inbound picking, and a major rise in inventory record accuracy from 99.18% to 99.93%, leading FM Logistic to plan a global expansion of their collaboration with Datalogic.
