FELP chooses Datalogic Automation vision sensors for assembling verification in its production lines

Felp S.n.c., an Italian manufacturer of customized assembling and testing systems, needed a flexible way to verify quality across unique and constantly changing production-line applications. For its relief valve assembly lines, the company turned to Datalogic and its DataVS2 vision sensors to handle demanding inspection tasks with high precision.

Datalogic implemented eight DataVS2 vision sensors across four checkpoints to verify component presence, positioning, orientation, and final quality details such as Teflon layer length. The solution improved inspection accuracy and adaptability while keeping the machine layout unchanged, and Felp reported that the sensors’ ease of use and flexibility made it possible to tailor controls for many different assembly processes.
