Datalogic, along with its partner Kobobss, developed a scanning solution to help logistics provider DB Schenker optimize quality control at a Netherlands site. The customer faced a laborious process where auditors had to manually scan multiple barcodes on packaging, which was time-consuming despite a low error rate. Their challenge was to increase productivity and reduce cycle times without compromising quality, using a scalable solution.

The solution implemented by Datalogic was the "Scan-O-Matic" intelligent workbench, featuring a Datalogic Matrix 410N high-performance imager. This system automatically captures and processes required data from products moved across its display. As a result, scanning productivity increased dramatically from 1,000 to 5,500 scans per hour, achieving significant time savings and providing ergonomic benefits for operators.
