Siemens, a major global producer of energy-efficient technologies, faced challenges with time-consuming and inflexible warehouse management processes at its facility in Nuremberg, Germany. The company needed to simplify operations, reduce operating time, and ensure secure data capture using bar codes to prevent unnecessary costs. Datalogic, with its partner SA.SS Datentechnik AG, implemented the Memor X3 mobile computer to address this challenge.

The Datalogic solution, paired with a Raptool application, provided a compact and fully-equipped mobile computer that accelerated workflows without requiring any programming knowledge. This made Siemens' warehouse processes more flexible and efficient, allowing orders and components to be found quickly with fewer steps. The implementation was so successful that Siemens expanded the solution to another location with plans for further rollouts.
